As a new initiative for 2025, the Herff Jones digital team wanted to send out monthly email blasts to our high school customer base about that month's birthstone. I was given a reference ad for general vibe, and the copy from our writer, but otherwise it was incumbent on me to translate that to a final look. 
The hero background was the first thing I settled on, an excellent image by photographer Scott Webb that really reinforces the polygonal feel of gemstone facets. "January Birthstone" is set in Benton Sans, our primary brand typeface, but "Garnet" was the public debut (for HJ) of Audrielle, a script by Tart Workshop that we plan to incorporate into our brand for 2026 and beyond. 
These emails & socials were all built in Photoshop before being handed off (as hero images) to our digital team, who handle the live text for deployment.
