This map was created for an ongoing cyberpunk campaign using the Cities Without Number tabletop roleplaying game. Car chases are a staple of the genre and thus a frequent possibility within the setting, and this map is one I prepared for such eventualities. Its left and right sides tile seamlessly and allow the map to scroll beneath the cars involved in the chase. This creates the impression of motion at speed, and can even be altered to imply faster or slower speeds.
The animation below is low quality to keep online file sizes reasonable, but when used in Foundry VTT or a similar virtual tabletop program that enables such scrolling, a static .webp can be used to keep the file high quality (as the animation is handled by the program). The vehicles involved the chase are typically separate images, to allow movement and reactivity to the events of the story.
This map was created using Dungeondraft and primarily uses assets by A Day At, with additional assets by PeaPu and Tom Cartos Modern. Created for personal use only.
